Meribel during the Summer
There are many different activities to choose from in the summer within the stunning backdrop of the Alps. These range from family activities right through to those suitable for the adrenalin seekers! We have listed a few options and provided some useful links for your information. Golf

Meribel has a fantastic 18 hole golf course open to non member with absolutely stunning views. The course is technically challenging and hilly! Therefore you may wish to use a buggy.
The course is open June until October and to give you an idea of prices - during the peak season 18 holes is 65 Euros and 45 Euros during the low season. For further information on the golf course and to see further pictures of the course and scenery visit the Meribel Golf Club Website.


Walking

There are over 500km of walking paths within the three valleys, catering for both gentle ramblers and the hiking enthusiasts. The walking trails are well marked and you can pick up a guide book from the Tourist Office.  There is plenty of wildlife in the mountains so keep your eyes peeled! The contrast of the forest, the pastures, the summits and these different settings is breathtaking.

There are also protected areas of outstanding beauty which are freely accessible to walkers, the Tueda Nature Reserve and the Vanoise National Park.

You can book half, full day and two day treks with the Mountain Guides office as well as a kids club for 6 - 12year olds (introduction to the mountains and nature). For pricing and further information visit the tourist office website.

 
Cycling / Mountain Biking

Mountain biking has become extremely popular within the three valleys, the lift system can be utilised to access single track and downhill trails. You can bring your own equipment or hire mountain bikes from the rental shops in Meribel.
The three valleys stations (Courchevel – Méribel – la Tania – les Menuires – Val Thorens et Brides-les-Bains) organise an annual all terrain cycling event which is open to all. This year it is on the 5th & 6th July 2008. For information about the Three Valley All Terrain Open visit the 3VTT website at www.les3vallees.com/3vtt/ 


Adventure Park

The adventure park is a great place to have fun and test your head for heights, your balance, your agility and your nerve! The tree top activities include rope bridges and zip wires and there are varying levels of difficulty. The park is open seven days a week during the summer from 09.00 - 18.00 hours. The activities are supervised by instructors at all times and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Prices range from 10 Euros for the initiation course to 32 Euros for all four courses.

There are 10 tennis courts in Meribel (& 4 junior courts) which are open 9am - 4pm and 4pm - 8pm. There are also four courts in Mottaret and one in les Allues. Court hire costs 8 -10 Euros for one hour.
